FAQ

  • Our menu is comprised of thoughtfully crafted dishes inspired by the cosmopolitan cities of France and Italy – Paris, Lyon, Milan, Rome, and more. We welcome guests to join us for all occasions - to enjoy a snack and a drink at the bar after work, dessert after a concert, a quick (or leisurely) lunch during the week, or a full multi-course dining experience. For a full dinner experience, guests should anticipate spending an hour and a half to two hours with us, depending on the size of the party.

  • While not required, reservations are strongly recommended and can be made online using the link on our website menu bar. Guests can choose from our dining room, bar, or patio seating at time of booking.

A credit card is required to book a reservation. Because we are a small, intimate restaurant with a limited number of tables, we ask that groups of five or more guests cancel at least 24 hour prior to the reservation time and groups of one to four guests cancel at least four hours prior to the reservation time. Groups that cancel with less than these amounts of time or who simply do not show up for their reservation will be charged a cancellation fee of $30 per guest in the group.

We allot two hours for parties of two to four guests and a bit more for larger parties.

  • We accept reservations online for parties of up to twelve guests. Due to the intimate nature of the restaurant and configuration of our tables, parties of more than eight guests are typically seated at two or more nearby tables.

For parties of more than 12 guests, please email info@ginasoncongress.com to inquire about hosting your event.

  • Gina’s on Congress is an every-day bistro to enjoy for all occasions and we invite guests to dress as they feel most comfortable.

We do ask that guests refrain from wearing athletic clothes (yoga pants, sweatpants, athletic shorts, or tank tops) or clothing with offensive language and to ensure that all undergarments are completely covered.

  • There is a pay lot at the northwest corner of Congress Avenue and 3rd Street as well as garage parking in the Frost Bank Tower at 401 Congress Avenue.

  • The menu changes periodically and we keep the most up to date menu posted to this site.

  • Yes. We will always have options to accommodate most dietary restrictions. And while we kindly decline substitutions on dishes, many can be modified by omitting an ingredient.

Please email info@ginasoncongress.com if you have any specific concerns prior to dining with us.

  • We do invite well behaved children with an adventurous palate to join their family and friends. We do not have a separate kid’s menu. Due to limited space in the restaurant, we do not have any high-chairs or booster seats.

Please note we kindly ask all guests refrain from using electronic devices to watch movies or shows, with or without volume, as the light and images from the devices may be distracting for other guests and diminish the ambience.

  • We kindly ask that no food be brought into the restaurant.

We welcome you to try the desserts on our menu or pre-order a celebratory cake made by the team at our sister company Flavor Co. Catering + Events. Please call 512.991.1819 or email info@ginasoncongress.com for assistance in pre-ordering a cake - 72 hours advance notice requested.

  • Because we have a mixed beverage permit the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission does not allow any outside beverages to be brought in whatsoever.
